Virat Kohli has been an inspiration for many with the kind of energy he brings on the field. His approach towards the longest format of the game has promoted and kept the game alive. Virat Kohli, aka King Kohli, is making his 100th Test match appearance today against Sri Lanka.
Everyone is very excited to see him play as this landmark comes at a very important point. Virat has not been at the best of his form lately. He has not scored a century in over 2 years. The last time he reached a hundred was in 2019 against Bangladesh. Since then, he has had a few good innings, but with the standard that he has set, fans always want more than a half-century.
Earlier in the day, Virat was presented his 100th Test cap by the head coach Rahul Dravid. At the toss, which India won and chose to bat first, Rohit Sharma praised Kohli and said, "Not many people go on to play 100 Tests, and Virat has been looking forward to this game."
The fans too were very excited to see Kohli play his 100th match. They are keenly waiting to see Virat get to his 71st century in this match.
