India middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav sustained a heel injury during the third T20I against South Africa. During the game, he scored his first T20I hundred in the Rainbow Nation. Overall, Yadav has four T20I hundreds in his career. Meanwhile, the injury ruled him out during the game. In the match, Ravindra Jadeja led the team during the second innings after Yadav got injured on the boundary.

Meanwhile, the right-hander has posted a video of him limping on his Instagram account

"On a slightly serious note, injuries are never fun, but I'll take it in my stride and promise to be back, fully fit, in no time! Till then, hope you all are enjoying the holiday season and finding little joys, everyday," said the caption of Suryakumar's post.

Will Suryakumar Yadav play against Afghanistan?

After the ongoing South Africa vs India 2023 series, the team will play a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. It is uncertain whether Yadav will play for the team. He has been ruled out of the game for an indefinite period. Talking about the ongoing series the Men In Blue tied the T20I series 1-1, and won the ODI series 2-1. Now, the Asian side will play a two-match Test series and would like to win their maiden Test series in Africa.
