I hope India defeats New Zealand in the World Test Championship final: Sourav Ganguly
India and New Zealand qualified for the final encounter after coming first and second in the WTC standings, respectively.
The Ageas Bowl in Southampton has a five-star hotel next to the stadium and also provides a good deal of logistical and operational convenience in times of bio-secure bubbles.
Ganguly praised the Indian players for their mental strength, given they had to spend around six months in bio-secure bubbles.
Talking about Team India's outstanding form in the World Test Championship, Ganguly praised Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane for leading the Asian giants. Ganguly also praised Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant for his splendid performance with the bat against Australia and England.
The Indian cricket team has one loss in its ICC World Test Championship campaign. That defeat came against NZ in 2020. Even though the pace-friendly English conditions will favor the New Zealand team more, Sourav Ganguly is assured that team India can do an excellent job.
