Indian playing conditions always demand spinners in a team. There have been some great spinners who have graced the Indian T20 League over the years. This year too, there are a few spinners who have already been retained by the teams, but there are still many available to buy in the mega auction this year.'

Here is a list of spinners that can trigger a bidding war in the ITL 2022 mega auction:

Wanindu Hasaranga

The Sri Lankan all-rounder, Wanindu Hasaranga has created a lot of buzz since his performance against India last year. He proved to be a big asset with the ball, picking crucial wickets in crucial times. He was picked by Bangalore last year for the second leg in UAE, but only played two matches and was not effective.

In the 33 T20 matches that he has played, Hasaranga has claimed 52 wickets. He strikes a wicket in every 13.23 balls and bowls at an economy of 6.22. Many teams would look to buy him in the auction as he brings in genuine all-rounder skills.

Rahul Chahar

Rahul Chahar has been a great find of the ITL in recent years. Playing for Pune Supergiants and Mumbai, he has won them many matches. It is at times difficult to read him and play against him, and as a result, he gets the wicket. Based on his performances in the ITL, he went on to make his debut for India.

In the 42 ITL matches, he has 43 wickets. He bowls at a decent economy of 7.45 and has a bowling average of close to 26. 2020 was his best year in the league.

Tabraiz Shamsi

Tabraiz Shamsi has been among the top two bowlers in the T20 rankings for a long time. He has consistently delivered for South Africa. He has only played a few games for Rajasthan in the ITL.

In the 47 international T20s, Shamsi has 57 wickets. He has been economical too, conceding just 6.74 runs per over. He has a strike rate of just over 18.

Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin is India's main spinner in the longest format, but he is a great white-ball bowler too. He is a strategic bowler, who has a plan for every opposition. His presence in any team will be very crucial.

In 167 ITL games, he has 145 wickets to his name. He has an economy of under 7, which is very crucial in T20 format. Many teams might look to buy him in the auction as a strategic player is important for a team.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal has become India's main spinner in the white-ball format over the past few years. Playing for Bangalore and India, he has achieved great heights. He has not been in the best of his forms recently but he is still a great player and a big asset to have in a side.

Chahal has picked up 139 wickets in the 114 games that he has played in the shortest format. He bowls wat an economy of just 7.59. Many teams would like to have a good quality Indian spinner in their team.
