Star Chennai player likely to miss Indian T20 League due to injury

The four-time Indian T20 League Champions Chennai will start their campaign in the Indian T20 League 2023 in the tournament opener against Gujarat. Both teams will play this match on Friday, the 31^st of March at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Although, Chennai have landed in big trouble just ahead of the tournament.

Teams are already suffering from injury scares just ahead of the commencement of the tournament. One of the recent major concerns was of Kolkata skipper and star batter Shreyas Iyer who will miss the entire season due to his lower back injury.

Coming back to Chennai, they could miss the services of the star pacer Mukesh Choudhary in the upcoming 16^th edition of the tournament. He suffered an injury due to the recovery which he is giving time in Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy to recover.

Meanwhile, franchise CEO Kasi Viswanathan has also informed us about Mukesh Choudhary’s recovery.

“We are waiting on Mukesh but we do not have much hope. He was one of our bowling mainstays last year. It will be unfortunate if he misses out,” said Kasi Viswanathan ahead of the tournament.

Notably, Mukesh had a brilliant season last year in the Indian T20 League; he scalped 16 wickets in 13 matches he played in the tournament so far.
