Virat Kohli is widely considered as a record-breaking machine for India and IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore. The charismatic batsman made his debut for India in August 2008. He has also led the U19 team to victory in the ICC U19 World Cup 2008. Virat Kohli has the second-highest number of tons and the highest number of centuries in run-chases globally in the limited-overs format.

The 32-year-old holds the world record for being the fastest player to score 10,000 and 11,000 runs in ODI cricket, reaching the feats in 205 and 222 innings, respectively. The right-handed batsman has accumulated 7,490 runs in 91 Tests at an average of 52.37. He has also recorded 12,169 runs in 254 ODIs at an average of 59.07. Virat Kohli is also the foremost run-scorer in the games’ shortest format. He has amassed 3,159 runs in 90 T20I games at a decent average of 52.65.

Virat Kohli is the king of the game: Washington Sundar

Kohli has 70 international tons to his name. He is also believed to be the player who can surpass Sachin Tendulkar's 100 centuries. Seeing his unbelievable records, there is no doubt that bowlers often find it difficult to dismiss Virat Kohli, particularly at the nets. During ESPNCricinfo '25 Questions' chat show, Kohli's RCB teammate Sundar was questioned how many times has he been able to remove the batsman at the nets.

In response, Sundar stated that he has bowled to Virat many a time during the net sessions. The 21-year-old heaped praises on his captain, saying that Virat is the King of cricket and he hasn't succeeded in picking up his wicket often. Sundar further added that he is not able to get the batsman out in every net session, but he would be glorified if he manages to scalp the wicket of Kohli.

Meanwhile, the Kohli-led Indian team will play against NZ in the World Test Championship final starting from June 18th. The Men in Blue will then play the five-match Test series against England after the WTC Final. Virat Kohli-led team India will play against NZ in a bid to avenge their World Cup semi-final loss. Both the teams will battle it out to win the first-ever World Test Championship title. Umesh Yadav was also part of the Delhi Capitals team for IPL 2021 but didn't play a single game.
