KL Rahul scored only five runs off five balls against England
For India, skipper Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul came out to open the innings. However, Rohit Sharma did not have a good tournament so far with the bat. Before this clash, he managed only 89 runs in five matches. But, KL Rahul managed two back-to-back fifties in the last two matches. In five matches of the World Cup, KL Rahul scored 123 runs. So, fans were hoping for a good start from these openers in this high-voltage clash.
But, KL Rahul failed to do it as he lost his wicket for only five runs off five balls. Chris Woakes took his wicket as the star batter failed miserably. Seeing that dismissal, his fans were not happy as KL Rahul was looking to get back in form. Even, before the clash against Bangladesh, head coach Rahul Dravid said: "I think he's a fantastic player, and he's got a proven track record. He's done really well. I thought he's been batting superbly. These things can happen in a T20 game sometimes.” Then, he scored two consecutive fifties but failed again in the semi-final. Now, fans came up and shared their views on social media platforms.
