For the first time in the history of the Indian T20 League, Suresh Raina hasn't been involved in the tournament as a player. In fact, he has been part of the Hindi commentary team for the official broadcaster of the league. His former team, Chennai has been ousted from the playoffs race after losing 10 games in the season, which is a record in itself.
Meanwhile, the left-hander has expressed his desire to watch Bangalore lift their maiden title this season. He said that the reason he is routing for the Red Army is the presence of Virat Kohli. Kohli recently came back to his old form with an entertaining fifty against Indian T20 League debutants Gujarat in his side's last league game. However, they needed Mumbai to win their last game of the season against Delhi to qualify for the playoffs.

The five-time did a great service to the Faf du Plessis-led side as they beat Delhi, who were also looking to book a place in the playoffs. The franchise had released a video on their YouTube channel where the team was seen celebrating the Rohit Sharma's team winning and ending their campaign on a high note.
Now they will be playing another Indian T20 League debutants, Lucknow on May 25 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The game will be an Eliminator in which the winner will qualify for the Qualifier 2 while the loser will go home. However, the game is under threat of the being washed out due to persistent rains. The fans will be hoping for the rain to stay away from the game especially the Bangalore ones.
If the game is washed out, the three-time finalists will be knocked out as they finished lower in the points table than Lucknow. The KL Rahul-led side has finished third while the opposition finished fourth.
