In the second Twenty20 International of the series on Monday, West Indies defeated India by a margin of five wickets. India's difficulties in the game were brought on by a poor batting performance. India's collapse began with the early wickets of Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav. Another incident that occurred during the game left the spectators puzzled.

Suryakumar Yadav was spotted wearing Arshdeep Singh's jersey as he walked in to open the batting. The pictures of him wearing the jersey with Arshdeep's name on the back have done rounds on the internet.

Meanwhile, Surya's form with the bat has seen some dip in the T20I series. In the last match, he scored just 11 runs and was dismissed in the third over itself. He was assigned the opening role in the series, although he hasn't fared so well with it. His partner, Rohit Sharma, had a good run in the first match, but that did not continue in the second match. On the very first ball of the first inning, he was dismissed by Obed McCoy.

On the other side, McCoy claimed six wickets during the game. He registered his personal best figures (17/6 in four overs) in T20I cricket. With Hardik Pandya (31 runs in 31 balls) being the highest run scorer, India could only manage 138 runs on the board.

As the side advanced past the powerplay (46 runs) without losing a wicket, Brandon King provided the home team with a strong start in the chase. A few wickets were taken by India in the middle overs, but they weren't enough because King (68 runs in 52 balls) had already passed the 50-run mark.

West Indies needed 10 runs in the last over as the contest came down to the wire. Avesh Khan was unable to help India in defending their score after delivering a no-ball and being hit for a four and a six by Devon Thomas on his first two deliveries of the final over.
