On 27 October 2022, team India locked horns at the SCG against the Netherlands in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup. India won their first match against the arch-rivals Pakistan by four wickets. While the Dutch were coming off after a defeat against Bangladesh. However, India managed to win the match with ease by a margin of 56 runs.
Suryakumar Yadav won the player of the match award for his blistering knock. Along with him, Virat Kohli also managed to score another fifty in the tournament. But, now a video went viral where Arshdeep Singh was seen doing some suspicious activities with the ball during the match. Even, fans were wondering after seeing such an act from the young pacer.

Arshdeep Singh took two wickets for 37 runs in four overs against the Netherlands
Speaking of the video, the incident took place when Arshdeep Singh came up to bowl in the 14th over of the Dutch innings. The Netherlands were at 64 runs for five wickets in 13 overs. But, before starting to bowl in that over, the young pacer was seen with the ball in his pocket. Then, he brought it out and tried to shine it by rubbing it on his shirt.
However, no official allegations were made against him. But, the viral video made fans wonder about his activity. Speaking about the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and choose to bat first. India scored 179 runs for two wickets in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav scored 51* runs off 25 balls, at a staggering strike rate of 204. Along with him, Virat Kohli scored 62* runs off 44 balls, at a strike rate of 140.90.
Yadav hit seven fours and one six in his innings. Both Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav stitched a partnership of 95* runs. In reply, the Dutch only managed 123 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. Thus, India won the match by 56 runs with ease. Arshdeep Singh took two wickets for 37 runs in his four overs.
