Food ordering and delivery platform Swiggy has come forward and thanked Virat Kohli by giving special mention to his captaincy contributions after he stepped down as India's Test captain on Saturday. Kohli made this shocking decision a day after his team's Test series loss to South Africa.
Virat Kohli had led India for seven years in Test cricket and under his reign, the national cricket team remained at the pinnacle of the ICC Test rankings for 42 months (October 2016-March 2020).
Taking to the micro-blogging site, Swiggy thanked Virat Kohli for making everyone love the blues in whites for seven years. They also said that they'll celebrate his achievements by having Ram ke Chole Bhature with some onions, green chutney, as well as carrot and chilly pickles.

The cricket fans know that Virat Kohli is very strict when it comes to diet but, years ago he had said that Chole Bhature is his favorite and he loves having it from Ram Ke Chole Bhature in Delhi. At the same time, Kohli had also admitted that when it comes to having a cheat day, he would love having it at Ram Ke Chole Bhature.
While interacting with cricket anchor/broadcaster Gaurav Kapur on 'Breakfast With Champions', Virat Kohli had said that he himself goes to the restaurant for having the delicious Chole Bhature instead of taking it home the reason being that by the time he reaches home, it is not a bhatura anymore and it feels like stale bread.
Meanwhile, it remains to be seen who will be appointed as Kohli's successor, and as per reports, KL Rahul is expected to be the frontrunner for this role. India will be hosting Sri Lanka in a two-match Test series next month.
