England wicketkeeper batter Jos Buttler has named England, India and West Indies as three top teams who can win the T20 World Cup. Buttler said that England are a formidable team and are very confident of their chances in the showpiece event.

England World Cup squad is missing some of the big names including Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer but they still boast of some genuine match-winners in the team. England are placed alongside Australia, South Africa and West Indies in Group A. They open their campaign against West Indies on October 23 in Dubai.

“I think we’re certainly one of the favorites, I think we’re a brilliant team,” Butter said at an event at Sixes Cricket Club, Mirror reported. Buttler was named as the official ambassador of Booking.com’s sponsorship for the world event in the UAE at the event.

Buttler reckoned that India and defending champions West Indies are also equally good when it comes to the T20 format. West Indies are the dark horses of the tournament. They can be inconsistent but are laced with match-winners from top to bottom and can blow away an opposition on their day.

“There’s other fantastic teams around the world as well, I look at India and the West Indies in particular, who are always really strong. West Indies have a lot of experience in T20 cricket and a lot of six-hitting capability, which is quite nice to have in your team.

“But I think we’re a really good team, and we’ll focus a lot on ourselves and playing good cricket to the best of our ability. If we do that, we can go a long way,” he added
