India vs Pakistan is one of the biggest rivalries in cricket. Owing to the political tensions between the two countries, the teams don't play bilateral series against each other and only clash in ICC events and Asia Cup. The fans in the Asian countries too are very much involved which adds to the excitement of the match. No words can describe what an India-Pakistan game means to the die-hard cricket fans in the countries. Everyone wants their team to win.

Unfortunately for Pakistan, they haven’t tasted a lot of success against India of late. Barring the Champions Trophy final in 2017, the team has lost most of the matches in ICC events. In the World Cups, their record is dismal with them yet to win a game against India.

The two teams will once again cross swords in the upcoming T20 World Cup on October 24 in Dubai. Several experts believed that Pakistan have a decent chance of ending their losing streak given that they are well used to the conditions in UAE. Pakistan have used UAE as their home venue for over a decade. But India too are well equipped to take advantage of the conditions. Most of the players have been in UAE for a while due to the IPL.

Ahead of the crunch game, Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi was asked about the importance of the match and who according to him are the favourites to win. The all-rounder gave a very diplomatic answer and said that India-Pakistan games are high-pressure games and the team that handles it better have a greater chance of winning.

"See, India vs Pakistan is always a high-pressure game. And whichever team handles pressure better will win. Also, whichever teams make the smallest of mistakes has a better chance of winning," the former Pakistan batsman said on his official YouTube video.
