BCCI has recently nominated former Gujarat DGP Shabir Hussein Shekhadam Khandwawala as the chief of the Anti-Corruption Unit. He is going to replace Ajit Singh, who served in the same position from April 2018 to March 2021. However, Ajit Singh has reportedly stated that he will still be with the BCCI for a while to allow Khandwawala to fit into his new role perfectly. And now, Gujarat’s DGP Khandawala has opened up on his appointment. He reckoned that it is an honour to be associated with the BCCI and further added that it is the best cricket body in the world. He also disclosed that besides his expertise in security matters, it is his love for the game that would help him in his current role.
