Former Australian cricketer Shane Lee stated that Team India would perform better if Ajinkya Rahane is made the Test captain. With Rahane made the captain, Virat Kohli, can entirely focus on his batting. In the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the Indian team were out for 36 in the 1st Test against Australia. Indian captain Virat Kohli was also set to leave for India to attend his first child's birth. Many cricket experts predicted that it has now become easy for Australia to whitewash the visitors. However, the stand-in skipper proved everyone wrong set the tone for a dramatic turnaround for the visitors. Team India won the second match at Melbourne with a margin of eight wickets. Rahane won huge praise after the win, and the 32-year-old is yet to lose a Test as Indian captain.
