Mithali Raj back in the top 5 of ICC ODI rankings

Mithali Raj has regained her spot in the top 5 of the ICC ODI rankings after her half-century in the first match against England. The senior player has progressed three slots to grab fifth place with 725 rating points. Mithali has returned to the top five for the first time since October 2019. She played a 72-run innings off 108 deliveries in the first ODI. However, team India lost the game by 8 wickets. Her knock helped the visitors after a terrible start. India was reduced to 27 for 2 within the first ten overs. The Indian team managed to set England a target of only 202 runs which wasn’t challenging enough for the hosts.
