Team India are currently busy playing the home ODI series against New Zealand. After sealing the series by winning the first two matches, they will plate the third and last match on 24 January in Indore. However, on 22 January, several players like Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, and Washington Sundar paid a visit to the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain ahead of the match.

On the other hand, team India wicketkeeper, Rishabh Pant is currently recovering in Mumbai after he got injured during his horrible road accident on 30 December. Team India members claimed that the main purpose of this temple visit was to pray for his speedy recovery. They also performed Baba Mahakal's Bhasma Aarti.

“His comeback is very important to us.” - Suryakumar Yadav on Rishabh Pant

Regarding that visit, Suryakumar Yadav was quoted as saying: "We prayed for the speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant. His comeback is very important to us. We have already won the series against New Zealand, looking forward to the final match against them." Some images of them visiting that temple have now gone viral all over the internet.

However, Suryakumar Yadav has managed to get a place in the final plating XIs in these last two ODIs. In the first match, he scored 31 runs off 26 balls. Then, in the second match, he did not get a chance to bat. Now, he will look to do well in the last match in Indore. However, Rishabh Pant is currently in the hospital in Mumbai.

Regarding his recovery in a Times of India report, a source close to the Indian Cricket Board said: “All the ligaments were injured. The posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) is a cause of concern. The doctors said that MCL surgery was absolutely necessary. Now his PCL will be assessed in two weeks. Hopefully, it will not need any further surgery. As of now, he essentially has undergone just one major surgery.” The source also added that two more months are required to assess the return of Rishabh Pant into the game.
