England & Wales Cricket Board has permitted the Indian cricket team to play two tour matches against county teams. After the recent loss, Virat Kohli publicly expressed his disappointment over the lack of First-Class games. Addressing the matter, the Board of Control for Cricket in India requested the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to arrange for at least two warm-up matches for the Indian team. The Indian cricket team will first play a four-day fixture against an unnamed county team. After that, the team will be involved in a 3-day match against County Select XI.
Team India set to return to the bio-bubble for the five-Test series against England around July 14
Currently, all the players of the Indian cricket team are making most of the break with family. Soon, they will play against England in a five-match Test series in August. The team is going to return back to the bio-bubble around July 14. To avoid any further issues while regrouping, the entire team will have to remain in the UK during their allotted break. The packed schedule will see the top two teams face each other in five Test matches in just six weeks.
