Team India won’t be able to bowl NZ out in the second innings: Sunil Gavaskar

Legendary Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar believes that team India will not be able to bowl NZ in the second innings. The former stated this because the pitch has dried up and has now become a batting-friendly pitch. Gavaskar also reckoned that India has to do exceptionally well to bowl out all ten New Zealand players. Earlier, Sunil Gavaskar commented that the ongoing ICC World Test Championship would end in a draw. He further stated that International Cricket Council should have devised a formula to pick a winner in case of the inaugural World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand.

India will have to bowl exceptionally well to get New Zealand out: Gavaskar

The WTC final at the Rose Bowl in Southampton has moved to the reserve day, with India leading by 98 runs and five wickets left. The historic final of the World Test Championship between India and New Zealand is moving towards a possible draw. It is most likely both teams will share the trophy.

Until and unless New Zealand does some extraordinary bowling and bowl out India in the first session. On the other hand, the best possible thing team India can do is to put a decent amount of runs on the board and then bowl out the blackcaps very quickly. Unfortunately, the Indian cricket team did not get off to a great start on the reserve day. Both overnight batsmen Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara lost their wickets in quick succession. New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson picked up the wickets of both the Indian batsmen.

Meanwhile, with five wickets down in their second innings, the Indian cricket team is increasing their lead on the Reserve Day (Day 6) of their ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) Final fixture against New Zealand. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja are currently batting for India. The duo will be trying to build some momentum for the team. Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has shown a lot of intent in the middle on the reserve day so far. The youngster has hit four fours in his 38-ball 21*. If Rishabh Pant scores runs quickly in the first session, then the kiwis will be under pressure in the final phase of the day.
