The BCCI recently announced that the remaining 31 matches of IPL 2021 will take place in UAE in the September-October window. Thereby, the tournament would crash with some international games. So, some overseas players would probably excuse themselves from the league.

Moreover, the T20 World Cup is scheduled just after the IPL 2021 phase 2. So, the cricket broads of other nations would not risk their players in the league. But BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and his team are holding talks with individual boards to get the international players present for the league.

Some teams that would get affected the most if BCCI fails to get the international players involved in the league are as follow

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Some overseas cricketers in the SRH who would back out are David Warner, Jason Roy, Jason Holder, and Jonny Bairstow because of prior international commitments.

Sunrisers Hyderabad already had a horrendous run in the first half of the league. But in the absence of the international players, their performance would worsen in phase 2 of the league.

Warner and Bairstow are the most dangerous opening pair if everything ticks right. But in their absence, the team management would have a tough time finding an adequate replacement for the two players.

The team is currently placed in the eighth position on the points table after winning just one game out of seven.

Rajasthan Royals

The Royals had to face problems with their overseas players from the starting of the league. Fast bowler Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes had to opt-out of the league because of their injuries. Archer had an elbow injury and was ruled out of the league. But Ben Stokes suffered a finger injury which cut short his time in the IPL.

To makes things even worse, players Liam Livingstone and Andre Tye also pulled out from the league midway.

Thereby, the second phase of the league would make things even tough for the franchise. They would miss out on the service of Jos Buttler and Mustafizur Rahman because of prior commitments with their cricket boards.

Rajasthan Royals is currently at the fifth position in the league table after winning three games out of seven.
