Telugu Yoddhas unveil striking jersey for the upcoming Ultimate Kho Kho League

New Delhi, 12th August 2022: GMR Sports’ franchise Telugu Yoddhas unveiled their new jersey for the inaugural Ultimate Kho Kho (UKK) League on 12th August 2022. The franchise had revealed its logo last month featuring India’s greatest warrior with his bow and arrow aiming to conquer the twin peaks in a confluence of blue, gold and red colours.

The new jersey has the same colours to depict courage, accuracy and speed. The gold colour, which is widely used in Southern India, is tastefully used in the jersey and represents auspiciousness.

Speaking at the jersey launch event, the Business Development & Marketing Head of GMW Sports, Sujoy Ganguly said, “After launching the logo, the jersey drop was the next big thing we were looking forward to and I am happy to launch our new jersey. What makes it all the more exciting that we have been able to beautifully transcend our logos ethos and colour schemes on our Telugu Yoddhas jersey. The new jersey not only now looks vibrant and young but also sends a specific message about our intent as a team to our competition at the inaugural Ultimate Kho Kho. Telugu Yoddhas will be seen wearing a jersey of courage, confidence, accuracy and the spirit of sportsmanship with utmost discipline and I am confident that the upcoming season will see us charting new territories of success in Kho Kho.”

The first edition of the Ultimate Kho Kho League will be played at the Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune. UKK League is scheduled to start on August 14th and will culminate on September 4th. The league will be conducted by the Kho Kho Federation of India and feature six teams in total.

All ultimate Kho Kho League matches will be broadcasted live and exclusively on Sony Sports Network and can be streamed online through the SonyLiv app. The games will take place between 7 and 10 PM to attain the maximum available viewership.

Telugu Yoddhas start their campaign against Chennai Quick Guns on August 14th.
