In a match lastin g for more than 4 hours, the young sensation stopped Djokovic from winning the title and won his second Grand Slam title. Djokovic was emotional after the match, and Carlos was happy.

The American athlete defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the final of the tournament and created history in front of the home crowd.

The win of Gauff was emotional for her. the youngster was seen in tears as she realized the magnitude of the success she achieved. The fans stood up and congratulated their star for achieving what she had dreamt of. The year was stellar for Gauff, as she finished as the world no.3 athlete in 2023. She will be eyeing to become the world no.1 in 2024. At a tender age of 19, Coco is already considered the future of the sport.

For someone whose career has been full of injuries, Nadal made the difficult decision and announced 2024 as his last calendar year in the sport.

The Spaniard recently announced that he would be set to return to enter the court in Brisbane before the Australian Open 2024. The upcoming few months of Nadal would be an emotional ride for him, almost like a last dance. Many sepculated him to be nearing the end of his career, before answering them in style by winning the record 24th Grand Slam. In the final of the US Open, Novak overcame Daniil Medvedev to better his own record of most Grand Slam titles in men's singles.
