The Indian promos for the animated prequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse were unveiled on Thursday by cricket player Shubman Gill. He performs the voice of Pavitr Prabhakar, the Indian Spider-Man, in the Hindi and Punjabi versions. Before attending the trailer premiere event, the cricket player became a superhero by doing the famous Spider-Man pose in front of the cameras.
Shubman's pose was captured by a paparazzi account, who then uploaded it to Instagram. The cricket player climbed onto a car's roof and executed the classic Spider-Man squat while wearing a green patterned shirt and white trousers. He also indicated that he may shoot out a web in character. All Indian Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailers were presented at the event.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will make its theatrical debut in India on June 1
Sony Pictures captioned the Hindi trailer it shared on Instagram, reading, "Move over, people, it's Pavitr in the house." Visit Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse on June 1, one day early, to meet the much-anticipated Indian Spider! Get ready for an amazing cinematic experience, a once-in-a-lifetime thrill, and the debut of an Indian superhero. The two-week countdown has now begun! To view the Hindi trailer, click here." In the most recent clip, Pavitr is met by two Spider-Mans from different realities, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy. In the film, several Spider-People will unite to fight for the continuation of their realities.
The cricketer engages in amusing banter while discussing his cosy relationship with Maya Aunty, living in Mumbattan, and the ongoing traffic. He also reprimands Miles for calling the drink "chai tea." They were overjoyed when they first noticed Shubman Gill's new personality in the teaser. One fan declared, "Shub-MAN ab kabhi bhi catch nahi drop kar sakta" (Shubman can never drop a catch). Another individual said, "Shubman, you're hitting it out of the park, both in cricket and now as the voice of Indian Spider-Man." I am so excited about this incredible adventure.
On June 1, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will make its theatrical debut in India, one day before its US premiere. Ten languages will be supported, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, and Malayalam.
