MS Dhoni and Chandrayan 3

On the 14th of July, at approximately 2:35 PM IST, the Chandrayaan-3 mission of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) lifted off from Sriharikota's Satish Dhawan Space Centre. The lander's mission to the moon is expected to take nearly 42 days to complete. Notably, after making a successful Moon landing, the Soviet Union as well as the United States lost numerous spacecraft in incidents. With the Chang'e-3 mission in 2013, China became the only nation to finish the mission successfully on its first attempt.

In the year 2019, Chandrayaan-2 fell short of expectations since it crash-landed on the surface instead of making an easy landing. A lot of individuals remain perturbed by the sight of Prime Minister Modi embracing former ISRO chief K Sivan, although he was present to witness the historic achievement. Although researchers struggle diligently to perfect the art of soft landing on the moon, the Satish Dhawan Space Centre is buzzing with joy.

Several people gave credit for this mission to Captain Cool

After the successful launch, many people gave credit for this mission to Captain Cool, MS Dhoni, who is recognized as the most successful captain in Indian cricket history. Notably, the only other Indian skipper who has guided the nation to a World Cup triumph, aside from the legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev, is MS Dhoni. In fact, Dhoni has guided India to two World Cup victories.

The 42-year-old’s first major victory came in the first T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007, and the second one came in the ODI World Cup in 2011, which brought an end to a 28-year wait for the most coveted ODI trophy since Kapil Dev led India to victory in 1983. Dhoni has the most wins as the national team's captain, with 178 victories from 332 games across cricket's three forms, and India also won the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy under his captaincy. The former wicketkeeper-batter is widely recognized as the finest captain that the country has produced in its history.
