With the intent of increasing the pace of cricket and making it more dynamic, Cricket West Indies and the Caribbean Premier League came up with a 60-ball cricket league called the ‘6ixty’. The new league is aimed at a younger audience who don't want to wait too long for a game to get over.

In what comes as major news, the organizing committee has announced six teams who will be participating in the upcoming league. The tournament will kick off on 24th August with two top teams going into the final of the tournament.

6ixty comes with some interesting rules which radically change the game of cricket. Some of the new rules are as follows:

·       Teams can bowl five consecutive overs from each end without changing ends.

·       Six wickets rather than ten.

·       The batting team can ‘unlock’ a third powerplay by hitting two sixes in the first two overs.

·       Slow-over rate could take away a fielder in the last over.

·       Fans can vote for a mystery-free hit.

The inaugural edition of the 6ixty will feature six teams featuring both men and women cricketers together. Many popular cricketers are slated to participate in the league. Let’s look at the squad of all six teams for the upcoming 6ixty.
