After beating all the odds both on and off the court, Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic finally made it to the Australian Open 2023. He not only played but gave a befitting payback to the critiques by clinching the title of the tournament and winning his 10th Australian Open in a convincing manner.

Djokovic locked horns with Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final of the tournament at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. The 35-year-old tennis legend won the match by a close margin of 6-3, 7-6, and 7-6. Notably, it was also the 22nd grand slam victory for the veteran right-handed and two-handed backhand.

Speaking of the action of the match, most of the stats of were very close between Tsitsipas and Djokovic. The latter had 66% first serves which was only one percent more than the 65% of his opponent Tsitsipas. Subsequently, Djokovic registered 80% wins on the first serve followed by 71% on the second serve. Whereas on the other hand, Tsitsipas could make 72% win on the first serve and 56% on the second serve.

Apart from all these, Djokovic won 20 games in comparison to the 15 won by the Greek youngster. Eventually, the Serbian tennis sensation finished the match by winning 112 points and restricted his opponent to only 94 points.

In another achievement, Djokovic has also surpassed former tennis great Andre Agassi in terms of a consecutive title-winning streak in the Australian Open.
