The young Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is enjoying the form of his life in the current edition of the Indian Premier League 2023. He has amazed everyone with his sensational batting in the tournament. The 21-year-old young lad is currently in the second spot in the list of highest run-scorers of the tournament. He has scored 575 runs in the 12 innings he appeared to bat so far. Jaiswal has scored these runs with an amazing average of 52.27 having a century and four half-centuries to his name.

Other than this, he also scored the fastest half-century in the history of the Indian Premier League by reaching this mark only in 13 balls in the last match against KKR. In this match, he smashed 98 runs off just 47 balls with 12 boundaries and five sixes to his name.

Recently, the former India head coach and currently the commentator, Ravi Shastri has come up with a big statement while praising Jaiswal for the latter’s amazing and sensational batting in the tournament. Shastri also predicted that the UP-born youngster could make it to the national squad of India very soon in the near future.

"The selectors must be closely monitoring Jaiswal and he will soon play for India. The best thing about him is the way he's raised his graph. There is power in his game, there's timing. He has very bright future prospects," said Shastri to Star Sports.

Notably, Jaiswal is currently in action with RR in the ongoing 60th match of the current season of the Indian Premier League. The Royals are playing this match at their home ground Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
