This alignment never suits well with South Africa and the World Cup. Another campaign for the World Cup, which also went in vain. In any World Cup, it's the same story for South Africa.
In every World Cup, South Africa started as its "hot favorites," but ended as "heart broke” after some nail-biting ends in the knock-out rounds.
1) The World Cup of 1996
The World Cup was preceded by the "Chokers" tag from South Africa. This time South Africa was the favorites for the awards after the sudden exit from the 1992 World Cup. 5 league matches with 10 points and quarter-final qualifications. They decided to reach the semi-finals again. South Africa faces West India in the quarter-final knockout game. After winning the toss, West Indies first agreed to bat and went in the 50-over stage after 264/9, with Brian Lara 111 running 94 balls in the fine century. The 265 goals were followed in South Africa by Gary Kristen, Jonty Rhodes, Hansie Cronje, a different knockout game.
2) The World Cup of 1999
The same story from the last two cups was a different World Cup campaign. After winning the 4 games from 5, South Africa came in with 8 points on the super six-level. Winning three out of five South African super six games went to the semester. South Africa faces Super Six stage Australia's same competitor. That's the titans' clash and the best game so far. South Africa won the game, agreed first to bowl, and the Australian was completely controlled by South Africa, with a score of 213. A mix-bag from South Africa has chased the limited total standards.
It seemed that South Africa crumbled again at one stage with 61/4, but that the middle order had a certain resistance to 205/9. With this equation, it took 6 balls to boil to 9 runs. With the first 2 runs, South Africa finally reached the final, Lance made it clear.
Cricket is a game of unforeseen ends, and then Allan Donald was out of contact with a weird game. With a super-six-stage win over South Africa, Australia advanced to the final.
3) World Cup 2007
A team entirely different from the previous World Cup was joining South Africa in 2007, a power on which to rely. The tournament began 16 teams, 4 groups, to go into the super-eight round.
South Africa advanced very quickly to the super eight after winning 2 out of 3 games. After the greatest upheaval in the Super-8 stage against Bangladesh, South Africa once again reached the semifinals.
Winning 4 out of 7 games South Africa went once again in the knockout match to the semifinals to face off against Australia.
At 149 before their 50 overtime, the batting of South Africa collapsed totally first. The next step was to make it into the finals and win the 3rd time in a row for the World Cup.
