'There’s still a lot of races to come and we...' - Max Verstappen speaks his heart out after an impressive win in Spanish Grand Prix 2023

The star Red Bull racer Max Verstappen continued his dominance at the track and registered his fifth win in 2023 with an amazing finish at the Spanish Grand Prix. Verstappen ended p winning the pole position by recording the fastest lap at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in the time period of Saturday and Sunday.

Notably, it was also the third win for Max at the same venue and overall, his fifth triumph during the ongoing calendar year of 2023. The Dutch racing star is currently at the top of the drivers’ standings or the points table with 170 points. His Red Bull teammate and the Mexican star Sergio Perez is at the second spot with 117 points in the drivers’ standing.

Meanwhile, Max also talked about the win and the preparations of Red Bull for future competitions and races in the F1 calendar of 2023.

“I think it was important of course to try and keep the lead into Turn 1. I know it was quite tight , but actually, we had a good start. Then from there onwards, we just tried to manage the pace on the medium tire. I knew everyone behind me was mainly on the soft. I think especially the last eight laps of that stint I could really create a big gap,” said Verstappen in the aftermath of his win in the Spanish Grand Prix.

“There’s still a lot of races to come where we again have to perform really well to try and win the race. I’m happy in the car and I think the last few weekends have been definitely a lot more positive for me. This is one weekend where I think it went really well, but we also know that maybe at some other tracks, it’s not like this,” he added later while talking about the preparations and strategy of Red Bull for the upcoming races.
