KL Rahul is currently busy playing the ongoing two-match Test series in Bangladesh. Rohit Sharma missed the series opener due to his thumb injury that he sustained during the second ODI in Bangladesh. Therefore, KL Rahul was the captain in that match and India managed to win the clash by 188 runs.

After that, reports were there that KL Rahul might get dropped as he failed to score big runs and Rohit Sharma can make a comeback. But, now, Rohit is going to miss the second match also and KL Rahul will lead the side again. Now, the former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra came in support of the batter ahead of the next match.

“You want KL Rahul to score runs because he is an amazing player” - Aakash Chopra

While speaking on his official YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said: "There is nothing much to see from India's viewpoint. You want KL Rahul to score runs because he is an amazing player. It is not that he has become a bad player but the environment in Indian cricket at the moment is that they are blaming Rahul whenever anything goes wrong."

“They are asking when Rahul will get dropped. In India, when someone does well, we want the other one to be left out. We are so fickle-minded, we change our opinions so quickly. It seems at the moment that there is no player more ordinary than KL Rahul because that environment has gotten created,” Chopra concluded.

Speaking of his performance in the first match, he scored 22 and 23 runs respectively in his two innings of the Chattogram Test. But, as a skipper, he managed to win the match and he was full of praise for his teammates after the victory. “Getting runs was hard on the first three days. The way their openers batted, we had to work hard. Our intensity was really high. The pitch wasn’t really assisting the bowlers, but they found something... We’ve built this attack over the years. They are showing what quality they have,” KL Rahul said.
