Premier League side, Arsenal lost to Tottenham Forest on May 20. This loss ensured that the Men In Black, Arsenal won't win the Premier League and Manchester City already have their hands on the title as they have enough points to stay at the top. On the other hand, Forest has ensured they won't be relegated as they will finish in the 18th, 19th, and 20th positions.

For the unversed, finishing in the last three positions will mean teams will be relegated from PL. On the other hand, the now former champions, Arsenal have lost their champion status to City. Meanwhile, after the game, Nottingham Forest right wing-back Serge Aurier posted an Instagram story that reads "If we are not champions. They will not be champions too. My Spurs family."

It's really a sad day: Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta

The losing team was on the top for 248 days during the season. However, in recent weeks, they feel apart and now have lost the championship. Meanwhile, after the loss, Arteta took the responsibility for the loss.

"It’s a really sad day and there are a lot of difficult emotions. Obviously because we lost the game and we lost the championship after 10 and a half months fighting for it. I know that we have built an illusion, enthusiasm and belief that we could go all the way and win it, and we fell short."

"So congratulations to Manchester City, they’re the champions and they deserve to be the champions. They’ve done it for 38 games and we haven’t been able to do that.

"That’s it, and from my side I apologise because we have generated belief that we could do it, and at the end the team wasn’t able to do it, and that is my responsibility."
