The Bangalore team had a decent time during the Indian T20 League 2022. Unfortunately, the Faf du Plessis-led side were knocked out of the tournament after losing to Rajasthan in the second qualifier of the season. The men in red saw some inconsistent performances in the season, which kept them unsettled throughout. They might look to make some changes to their team setup. Here are the players Bangalore might release ahead of Indian T20 League 2023.
Sherfane Rutherford
In the absence of some of the players early on, Sherfane Rutherford got a chance in the playing XI for Bangalore. However, the all-rounder could not make the most out of this opportunity. In the three matches that he played, he scored 33 runs at an underwhelming strike rate of 66. The team did not use him with the ball either. As a result, he was dropped out of the team and could not make a comeback. Bangalore might not be too keen on retaining him next year.
Finn Allen
Finn Allen has been in the Bangalore squad for two seasons. He has, however, never made it into the starting XI. The management had the chance to star him in the XI early on, but they chose not to. The 23-year old is yet to make his debut in the Indian T20 League. But, as it seems, he might not make his debut for Bangalore. He might be released from the squad, going into the next season.
Siddharth Kaul
Siddharth Kaul has had decent performances throughout his Indian T20 League career. However, he did not get too many chances for the Bangalore team this season. He only played one game and came in as a replacement to Mohammed Siraj. He gave up 43 runs in his spell of four overs while taking no wickets. Kaul was benched again in the next game, and Siraj was brought back in. In the next season, Bangalore might let him go.
