The Delhi team had a poor run in the Indian T20 League 2022. They could never maintain their winning momentum throughout the season. Their chances to qualify for the playoffs always looked uncertain. In the end, they needed to win their final league-stage game against Mumbai to get to the next stage. However, they were denied the win and could not make it to the top four. Here are the players Delhi might release ahead of the Indian T20 League 2023.

Mandeep Singh

Mandeep Singh was given a chance to play in the initial games of the season. However, he was unable to make the most of it. After being dropped, he was given another shot at the top of the order in Prithvi Shaw’s absence. He failed to score runs at the top as well. He played three matches for the team and only scored 18 runs in them. Mandeep got an opportunity to prove himself, but he did not take it. Delhi might not be too keen on having him on the side next year.

Tim Seifert

While David Warner was unavailable to the team, Tim Seifert was their opener along with Prithvi Shaw. He only played two games in the season, and lost his spot when Warner was back on the team. He could not make a return to the team after that. Seifert scored just 24 runs in the two matches he played for Delhi. The Rishabh Pant-led team might not look to retain him for the following season.

Lungi Ngidi

The South African speedster, Lungi Ngidi, has a decent record in the Indian T20 League so far. Despite that, the Delhi team did not give him a chance to star in the playing XI. He warmed the bench throughout the season. He played 14 games in the cash-rich league for Chennai prior to this. In them, he took 25 wickets at an economy rate of 8.3. He also has a four-wicket haul to his name in the tournament.
