Rajasthan pacer, Nathan Coulter-Nile has been ruled out of the Indian T20 League. Coulter-Nile picked up an injury in Rajasthan's first game against Hyderabad. The announcement was made earlier today on Rajasthan's official Twitter handle. With Coulter-Nile out, here are some of the players who can replace him in the tournament.
David Wiese
The South Africa-born Namibia cricketer, David Wiese has been in talks in recent times. He has been good with his international team and was one of the major reasons for them to qualify for the recent 20-20 World Cup in 2021. He has been a decent player in the T20 format. Wiese has played 31 T20I games so far and has 33 wickets to his name at an economy of 7.6. He can be handy towards the end of the innings with the bat as well as he can powerfully strike the ball. Wiese's addition will add a lot of depth to the side,
Dasun Shanaka
Dasun Shanaka, the Sri Lankan white-ball captain, has some exceptional all-rounder abilities. He has been one of the most consistent players from Sri Lanka in the past few years. His stats in T20Is do not justify what he is capable of. He has 947 runs in 61 innings and has 18 wickets in 32 innings. Shanaka is a batter who can strike the ball hard and send it over the boundary at will. With the ball, he can give some cheap overs.
Colin de Grandhomme
The Kiwi all-rounder, Colin de Grandhomme, has been around for a while now and has tremendous experience. His average with the bat is not the best in the T20 format. However, he is a powerful player who can score at a quick pace. He has an average of under 16 in T20Is and an average of under 19 in the Indian T20 League. With the ball, he may not provide four overs every time but can be handy on most occasions. He is a bits and pieces cricketer, who is ideal in this format.
