There have been numerous reports of a rift between Ravindra Jadeja and his Indian T20 League franchise Chennai. Chennai's official Instagram account unfollowed Jadeja during the Indian T20 League 2022. The all-rounder subsequently deleted all of his Chennai team-related Instagram posts from the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

Now, Jadeja's latest Instagram story has added to the rumours of the falling apart between the two parties. Many have speculated that Ravindra Jadeja will not be a part of the Chennai team from next season. "Don't lower your standards for anyone or anything. Self respect is everything," he wrote in his story.

Previously, a Chennai team official denied any feud with the star all-rounder. He also maintained that he had no knowledge of why Jadeja deleted the posts and that it was his personal choice. "See, this is a personal call by him. We are not aware of such kinds of incidents from our side. All ok. Nothing is wrong," the source told ANI.

Ravindra Jadeja was selected as Chennai's captain ahead of the 15th edition of the tournament. On the other hand, the men in yellow did not have the best run under him. When he was in charge, they lost six of their eight games. As a result, he handed over the captaincy to MS Dhoni so that he could concentrate on his game.

He also neglected to wish MS Dhoni on his 40th birthday. He was one of the first players to wish him on social media before this. According to sources, the 33-year-old in the yellow jersey may have seen his last ride.

In the meantime, Twitter was not happy with Ravindra Jadeja speaking against Chennai. "It's a lost cause. Time to invest in some Indian talent. Hangargekar is a good start," a fan wrote. "He’s a key player for next season, without him playoffs would be tough," another fan wrote.
