Cricket fans have eagerly been waiting for Mithali Raj's biopic 'Shabaash Mithu' ever since its announcement. The fans have now gotten to see a glimpse into the veteran cricketer's life with the trailer launch of her biopic. The Taapsee Pannu-starrer film looks very promising as the fans found her convincing as the former Indian captain.

Shabaash Mithu, directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios, will be released in theatres on July 15, 2022. The Bollywood actress posted the announcement for the trailer of the film on Twitter. "Mithali Raj You know the name, now get ready to see the story behind what makes her the legend. Woman who redefined “The Gentleman’s game” She created HERSTORY and I’m honoured to bring it to you #ShabaashMithu 15th JULY 2022 #ShabaashMithuTrailer #GirlWhoChangedTheGame," read the tweet.

Mithali Raj, renowned for her record-breaking 23-year international cricket career, scored over 10,000 runs in her career. The movie depicts her path to becoming a great cricketer and an inspiration to billions of girls and women worldwide. The film is a tribute to the recently retired hero.

The right-handed batter will be remembered for her incredible run-scoring exploits, including a record 7,805 runs in One-Day Internationals, about 2,000 more than former England captain Charlotte Edwards, who is the second-highest ODI run-scorer. She has seven centuries and a record 64 fifties in her ODI career. Mithali made 699 runs in 12 Tests, scoring a century and four half-centuries. In T20Is, she scored 2364 runs at an average of 37.52.

In the meantime, Twitter was all praises for Taapsee Pannu, who has performed admirably in the movie. "Shabaash #taapseepannu I was glued to the trailer from the first to last-second...
