Star Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf has attracted the eyeballs of cricket experts for his excellent bowling of late in international cricket. Rauf has also performed brilliantly in franchise T20 leagues worldwide. He is currently in action for the Welsh Fire men’s team in the ongoing edition of The Hundred.

Meanwhile, the veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthi praised Haris Rauf and said that he is one of the best bowlers in international cricket.

"A few years ago, he was playing tennis ball cricket. He gets picked up by the Qalandars, becomes a part of their team, and academy and then goes on to play the league and then has gone on to do so well for Pakistan. He is arguably one of the better white-ball bowlers in world cricket now, especially at the death,” said Dinesh Karthik on Sky Sports, when Haris Rauf was in action during The Hundred for Welsh Fire.

Speaking of Rauf’s performance in the match for Welsh, he ended up being his team's leading wicket-taker. The 29-year-old scalped 3 wickets after conceding 27 runs off 20 balls. Although his efforts went in vain as Welsh Fire couldn’t chase the target of 148 runs, posted by Southern Brave in the first innings.

Welsh skipper Tom Abell won the flip of the coin and asked Southern Brave to bat first; batting first, Brave posted a total of 147 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 100 balls. Chris Jordan played a blistering knock of 70 runs off just 32 balls with three boundaries and seven sixes.

During the chase, Welsh Fire kept losing wickets at regular intervals and failed to cross the line. They could score 145 runs for the loss of 7 wickets and lost the match by two runs.

Some cricket fans used Dinesh Karthik's comments about Haris Rauf as an opportunity to troll both Karthik and Rauf. Fans took to Twitter and reminded Karthik about the six smashed by former Indian skipper Virat Kohli against Haris Rauf during T20 World Cup 2022.
