Najam Sethi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has challenged the Indian Cricket Board to explain why India is concerned about security since other teams have no problems travelling to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.

It's time to "take a clear position," according to PCB President Najam Sethi, who is considering all options with regard to this year's Asia Cup in Pakistan and 50-over World Cup in India. He will bring up these issues at the upcoming meetings of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and ICC.

He claimed that while India's position on not sending their squad to the Asia Cup in Pakistan had not changed, the PCB was adamant that if they failed to travel to Pakistan for the continental competition, they would have to consider not playing in India for the World Cup.

What did Najam Sethi speak about in the press conference?

Najam Sethi spoke about this issue at a press conference in Lahore. He said,

"We have complex issues on hand but for me when I go to the ACC and ICC meetings I have kept all options open for us and we have to take a clear position now."

Sethi then spoke about the security concerns of sending Pakistan to India, later, this year.

"I have kept my options open because when all teams are coming to Pakistan and have no issues with security. Then why is India worried about the security. In the same way we can also have security concerns over sending our team to India for the World Cup and I will be bringing this to the table at the coming meetings", he said.

The PCB president then discussed India's stance on this issue and said, "Obviously we don't support this stance (by India) because we want to hold the Asia Cup and remember it is not just about the Asia Cup and World Cup it is also about the Champions Trophy in 2025 in Pakistan."
