The legendary Sachin Tendulkar is celebrating his 49th birthday today. Born on 24th April 1973, Sachin Tendulkar made his international debut at the age of just 16 in 1989. After a career as long as 24-years, the veteran cricketer retired from cricket in 2013.

Tendulkar played 664 international games in his career and scored 34,357 runs across formats. He has 100 centuries to his name and is the leading run-scorer in international cricket. In over two decades, Tendulkar played 200 Test matches, scoring 15921 runs and 51 centuries. He represented India in 463 ODI matches, scoring 18426 runs and 49 centuries.

Sachin Tendulkar has given Indian cricket fans some great memories to cherish for a lifetime. From a magnificent 143 against Australia in Sharjah in 1998 to his 200 in an ODI against South Africa in 2010, he played many iconic innings during his illustrious career. The master blaster also represented India in a record six World Cups, taking India to a final in 2003 and glory in 2011. Sachin is the mentor of the Mumbai team in Indian T20 League 2022 and will celebrate his birthday with the Mumbai team inside bio-bubble.
