India came up with a memorable win in the third ODI against England. The win that came on the back of Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya, also won the Men in Blue the ODI series against the English side. Rishabh Pant scored an unbeaten knock of 125 in 111 balls. He was well supported by Hardik Pandya, who scored 71 off of 55 and a four-wicket haul in the first innings. Thus, the duo were the two main reasons behind this great win.

Virat Kohli playing in the third year of his century-less career, received massive support from the cricketing fraternity; even Tennis ace, Novak Djokovic liked a Kevin Peterson post about Virat Kohli. Understandably, fans were expecting a decent score from the once number one batter. As is the case in the last two years, however, Kohli got out in the same mind-numbing fashion as he has been in the past two years; knicking an outside off delivery into the slip.

Naturally, the fans were saddened and annoyed at Kohli’s irresponsible dismissal when the team needed him the most. All was however forgotten as Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya led the team to a sensational win. Pant ended the run chase with a flurry of shits hitting six fours in the last 1.1 over.

But, Kohli’s recent post on Twitter after his poor performance hasn’t sat well with a lot of cricket fans.

Talking of the match, England produced a target of 260 when asked to bat first by Rohit Sharma. Hardik Pandya came up with a bowling figure of 7-24-4 to break England’s backbone. Mohammad Siraj with two and Yuzvendra Chahal with three troubled England batters on a pitch that was batting friendly.

Coming on to chase a small target, the Indian top order fell like autumn leaves and left the team on 72-4 at one point. It is then that Pant and Pandya made a 133-run partnership and got the team out of their misery. Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant took the team across the finish line.
