The Indian Premier League has always provided a backbone for several players, whether domestic or international, to make a name in the cricketing world. Throughout the course of this league, we have seen some tremendous players rise to the occasion. Here we list 5 such players who have been the biggest finds in IPL history:

1. Jasprit Bumrah

One of the world’s top bowlers, Bumrah has been an IPL sensation for quite some time. Representing Mumbai Indians, Bumrah made his limited-overs debut for India back in 2016.

Prior to this, Bumrah proved his worth in IPL 2014 and 2015. Bumrah caught attention when he bagged 3 wickets on his IPL debut. In IPL 13, Bumrah was the second-highest wicket-taker with 29 wickets to his name. Bumrah has been a vital cog for both his national side and for Mumbai Indians.

2. Hardik Pandya

5-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians bagged Pandya for 10 lakh back in 2015. Hardik came into the limelight when he smacked 21 off 8 balls against CSK to help MI win the match. Owing to his superb performance with Mumbai Indians, Pandya made his breakthrough on the national side. He was soon announced as part of the Asia Cup and the World cup squad back in 2015.

Pandya has been a consistent performer for the Indian side throughout the years. Post achieving full fitness, Pandya will focus to get some overs under his belt soon.

3. Yuzvendra Chahal

Chahal made his IPL debut with MI back in 2011. After a disappointing outing with MI, RCB recruited the services of the leg spinner. Chahal performed superbly in IPL 2015 and 2016, picking up 23 and 21 wickets respectively. Owing to his IPL heroics, Chahal received a national call-up back in 2016.

4. Kuldeep Yadav

The bowler from UP was bought by MI back in 2012. However, Yadav did not get to play a single game in the entire season. Hence, he went on to represent KKR in 2014. Even in KKR, Kuldeep waited for 2 years to play his 1st game in the IPL. In IPL 2016, Yadav picked 6 wickets in just 3 games. A year later, Yadav made it into the national squad and picked 4 wickets in his Test debut against Australia in 2017.

5. Ravichandran Ashwin

Indian off-spinner R Ashwin made his IPL debut back in 2009. In IPL 2010, Ashwin picked up 13 wickets with a superb economy of 6.10. Owing to this, Ashwin went on to make his national T20I debut against Zimbabwe. Currently, he is part of the Indian Test team, with 371 wickets to his name.
