1. Rafael Nadal knocked out of Cincinnati Open
Rafael Nadal, arguably the greatest Tennis player, has been knocked out of the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati. Nadal got a bye in the first round and faced Borna Coric in the second.
The former number one player, however, lost 6-7, 6-4, 3-6 to Coric and is out of the open. The Spanish tennis star has won 22 Grand Slams, one more than Novak Djokovic and two more than Roger Federer.
2. Gael Monfils is forced to withdraw from US Open due to an injury
Due to an injury suffered at the Canadian Open, Monfils had to withdraw from the upcoming US Open.
In a tweet, Monfils wrote, “Dear all, following the latest medical exams that I took upon returning to Europe, I will sadly not be able to play at the US Open this year. I am forced to undergo a new period of treatment before being able to resume tournaments."

Monfils made his comeback in last week’s Canadian Open after sustaining a three-month-long injury layoff. He again finds himself on the sidelines after crashing out of the UP open with an injury.
3. Venus Williams among wildcard recipients for 2022 UP Open
Venus Williams is going to make a comeback after nearly a year at the US Open. She along with seven other women Tennis players will be receiving wildcard entries to the 2022 US Open.
4. Emma Raducanu comes up with a big win
Emma Raducanu crushed Victoria Azarenka by 6-0, 6-2 in the second round of the Western & Southern Open. She beat Serena Williams in the first round.
5. Grigor Dimitrov wild card recipient for Winston Salem Open
Grigor Dimitrov has taken a wildcard to compete in the next week’s Winston Salem Open. The 31-year-old has made an under-par performance, recently, and would be looking to up the ante.
