Triumph of England in closed door test match

COVID 19 has taken the whole world into its grip. The intensity of the pandemic has seized the activities of people. The second test match played at the Rose Bowl in Southampton was continuously interrupted by rains and bad light. It allowed only 150 overs to get bowled overall, and the game ended in a frustrating draw for both the teams, especially for Pakistan smarting under the shock defeat in the first test match. The third game, which was the final one of the series, started from 21st August to the match's same venue. England got to seal the deal by putting up a massive score of 583 for eight declared, and rout the visiting team for 273 runs in the first innings, forcing them to follow on.

Thanks to the rain, England could not make it to win. Pakistan saved the match at 187 for four wickets. There is no doubt; history got created in that Test Match.

Pakistan also got scheduled to play in a 3- match T20 international series against the hosts. The first of all the matches resulted in a draw. The host team won the second match. Pakistan claimed the third match of the series. Australia, the archrival of England, is visiting England to play 3-match ODI Series and 3 matches T20 Series. In the most likely extension of the New Normal, Cricket India got set to begin their Tour of Australia 2020-21from the month of October 2020. The teams will play 3- matchT20I international Series, followed by a 4- match Test Series.
