In a shocking piece of news for Indian cricket, the star pacer Mohammed Siraj was approached by an unidentified man for seeking inside information about the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore. But immediately in a delightful piece of news, Siraj quickly reported this ‘corrupt approach to the anti-corruption unit (ACU) of the Indian Cricket Board.

Notably, the man approached the Hyderabad-born pacer during the three-match ODI series between India and Australia, just before the commencement of the Indian Premier League 2023.

"It wasn't a bookie who approached Siraj. It is a driver from Hyderabad who is addicted to betting on matches. He had lost huge money, and approached Siraj for inside information,” said a senior Indian Cricket Board source to PTI.

"Siraj reported the approach immediately. The law enforcement authorities have nabbed the man. More details are being awaited,” the source added later.
