Former RCB skipper and batting superstar, Virat Kohli failed to live up to his stature in the 43rd match against Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League 2023. He could score only 31 runs off 30 balls with a poor strike rate of 103.33 having only three boundaries to his name. He got dismissed off LSG’s wrist spinner Ravi Bishnoi on the last ball of the ninth over in the first innings.

Subsequently, a certain section of Indian cricket fans immediately took to Twitter to troll Virat Kohli for his sluggish knock in the all-important clash for RCB against LSG. They went on to troll the 34-year-old for his intent and batting approach in the shortest format of the game when the team sent him to open the innings.

Here’s how fans trolled Virat Kohli for his 30-ball 31-run knock:

Talking about the ongoing state of the match, the action has been delayed due to the rain in the AB Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. RCB skipper Faf du Plessis won the flip of the coin and decided to bat first, they have scored 93 runs for the loss of four wickets in 15.2 overs so far. Skipper Faf du Plessis and senior wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik were there in the middle on the individual scores of 40 and 1 run respectively at the time when the game was stopped due to rain interruption.

Ravi Bishnoi scalped two wickets in his brilliant bowling spell conceding only 21 runs in his quota of 4 overs. Other than him, Amit Mishra and Krishnappa Gowtham have also scalped one wicket each for LSG in the first innings so far.

Here’s a look at the RCB playing XI for today’s match against LSG:
