Haris Rauf

Star Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf is currently in action with the Lahore Qalandars franchise in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League. The 29-year-old has amazed everyone with his sheer pace and amazing bowling abilities in international cricket of late. He also made it to the headlines; although not for a good reason when Virat Kohli smashed his delivery for a spectacular six during a memorable India vs Pakistan super-12 match of the 20-20 World Cup 2022.

Recently, Haris Rauf remembered Virat Kohli once again during a conversation with his national skipper and Peshawar Zalmi captain in PSL, Babar Azam.

‘Jo Marzi hove ek tuhadi wicket leni hai, ik Kohli bacheya hai ek tussi bache ho, Williamson slip to’n do vaari bach gaya si hor 3-4 player mere dimag mein ne (No matter what I want to take your wicket, now only Kohli and you are the exceptions left, Williamson got saved two times in the slip, I have 3-4 players in mind to take their wickets,” said Rauf in the video shared by Lahore Qalandars from their official Twitter handle.

Here's the video:

Although, this statement from the Rawalpindi-born Lahore Qalandar pacer came up as an opportunity for a section of the Indian cricket fans to troll him brutally. The fans took no time in taking up to Twitter and reminding Rauf of what Virat Kohli did to him in the Melbourne fixture of the 20-20 World Cup 2022.

Here’s how fans trolled Haris Rauf:

Recently, Haris Rauf and Babar Azam were in action against each other in the 15th match of the PSL 2023 between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi at the Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore. The hosts’ skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and decided to bat first. Riding on the back of Fakhar Zaman’s blistering 96-run knock off just 45 balls, Lahore posted a big total of 241 runs for the loss of only three wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Other than Fakhar, Abdullah Shafique and Sam Billing also played the crucial knocks of 75 and 47 runs respectively.

While defending the target, the Shaheen Shah Afridi-led bowling attack of Lahore restricted Babar’s Peshawar only on the score of 201 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Shaheen scalped a brilliant five-fer alongside two wickets claimed by Zaman Khan. Haris Rauf and Rashid Khan also scalped a wicket each.
