India vs England( Source- India today)

The India vs England series has started in Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium with great support for the home team. This is the beginning of 5 match Test series that will be a Test for both the teams. England had chose to bat first on a track that was supporting the spinners immensely. The English batters started in their own positive style of cricket putting up 55 for the first wicket until Ben Duckett was dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin in the 12th over. It was then Jadeja who struck out the likes of Zack Crawley and Ollie Pope pegging back the visitors on 60-3.

England still had a decent partnership between Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root who got them out of trouble before lunch where they were at 108-3. However, it was the second session where the game started going into the hosts favour where 5 wickets fell in the tea session with England at 215-8. England still managed to score some useful runs going forward thanks to Ben Stokes and the wagging of the tail where they managed to score 105 runs in the session. The innings finally ended on 246 where England were finally bowled out by the hosts.

The spin trio coming to the party

It was once again the spinners who caused problem for the England batters in the innings. The spinners had taken 8 wickets among themselves with Ashwin and Jadeja taking three each and Axar Patel joining in with a couple as well.Β  The three spinners showed their accuracy and used the conditions really well. This seemed to be another day where the England batters did not have any answer to their tricks and were not given any room for error by these talented spinners.

This once again was a disappointing display of batting by the English batters in these conditions , which will make it tough for the visitors to come back in this match. The only batters who looked good in the match was the English skipper Ben Stokes himself, who was playing a matured innings while he was running out of partners in the middle. The England bowlers will have a very tough job to contain the Indian batters when take the field in the second innings against these talented batters in the game.

Here's how the fans have reacted-
