Jasprit Bumrah has been the best white ball bowler of this generation. He has been in exceptional form since his return from injury and led the team in the Ireland tour as well. Bumrah is famous for his unplayable yorkers with the new ball and the old ball as well. The pacer was the second-highest wicket-taker for India in the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023. Bumrah picked up 20 wickets at an economy of 4.06, he also bowled the most dot balls in the mega event.
Bumrah posted a surprising message on his Instagram story just after Hardik Pandya was traded back by Mumbai Indians (MI). Hardik was brought back from Gujarat Titans (GT) in an all-cash deal of 15 crore INR. He was part of the champions squad in 2015, 2017,2019, and 2020. Then Pandya was released by MI after his lower back injury.
The post of Bumrah means that he was interested in leading the side in the near future, but after Pandya's comeback, he might not be able to lead the side as he has been brought on to replace Rohit Sharma as a captain in the past few years.
Silence is sometimes the best answer: Jasprit Bumrah
Bumrah's story captioned, "Silence is sometimes the best answer." Bumrah is unhappy with the management's decision. He has the experience of leading the national side in the test as well when senior players were absent in England.
MI's statement on announcing Pandya stated, "We are thrilled to welcome Hardik back home! It’s a heartwarming reunion with our Mumbai Indians family! From being a young scouted talent of Mumbai Indians to now being a team India star, Hardik has come a long way and we’re excited for what the future holds for him and Mumbai Indians!"
The star all-rounder stated, "When I look back, the whole span of 10 years has been something very special. It has not sunk in yet that I’m finally back where my whole cricketing journey started. I have achieved all the possible things. They have been the most important part of my life. Special bond with Akash and the family, they have been through my thick and thin. It is much more emotional because it feels like I’m coming back to my home, my family where it all started."
