Ukraine captain Oleksandr Zinchenko breaks down in Everton vs Man City clash

Ukraine star, Oleksandr Zinchenko could not hold back his tears, as Everton and Manchester City stood in support of his nation.

Ukraine and Russia are in middle of a massive conflict. Russia President Vladimir Putin broke the peace accord by sending troops over the border into Ukraine, plunging the country into chaos as the rest of the world protests the prospect of war.

The conflict and political situation between Russia and Ukraine have sparked widespread concern throughout the world. The whole world is united in its opposition to the war, and the sporting world has also stepped out to defend the war against Ukraine.

Manchester City and Ukraine star, Oleksandr Zinchenko could not hold back his tears during a match between Everton and Manchester City, as both teams stood in support of his nation. Clubs in the Premier League have been allowed to show their support to the warn torn country. City players wore shirts in support of Ukraine as they lined up to face Everton, shouting "No War" and protesting the Russian government's actions.

Zinchenko and Vitaliy Mykolenko,  a Ukrainian player in the Everton camp, shared an emotional moment during the warm-up as they united in the middle of the field. West Ham has offered another Ukrainian player, Andriy Yarmalenko, time off due to the severity of the situation. Zinchenko and Mykolenko, however, were named on the bench by their respective teams ahead of the match on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Phil Foden scored the game's sole goal in the 82nd minute. Manchester City and Everton were evenly matched for the entirety of the game. Manchester City then sealed the victory with a goal towards the end of the day.
