Indian fast bowler Umesh Yadav is expected to be a part of the India team for the third Test against England. The 33-year-old will be the only change in the playing XI. He was recently repurchased by the Delhi Capitals in the IPL Auction at his base price of Rs 1 crore.
Umesh Yadav has already been part of Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders and RCB in the T20 tournament. He made his debut against Chennai Super Kings in 2010. In his 121 IPL games, Umesh Yadav has picked up 119 wickets at an economy of 8.51.
Third Test will be crucial to secure a place in the WTC Final
BCCI announced that Umesh Yadav is going to replace Shardul Thakur for the last two Test matches against England.
Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, R Ashwin, Shahbaz Nadeem and Washington Sundar formed the bowling line-up in the first Test and then Mohammed Siraj, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav came in the second Test. With the third Test at Ahmedabad set to be a day-night affair, it seems that India will return to the traditional three-pacer model.
